As long as I can remember, I’ve loved looking at the night sky and all of the stars. When I was little, Sputnik launched. It started a whole era of sky watching, which I haven’t quit yet. From the original Mercury flights to the International Space Station, from Star Trek to Star Wars, from Carl Sagan, Cosmos, and Contact, the wonders of the universe and all of its possibilities continues to grow. Other advances in science, such as the Hubble Telescope and the discovery of gravity waves, make me want to go out there and explore it all, to see all of this fantastic stuff. Star Stuff, Carl Sagan called it. The stuff we are all made of. And it’s all over the universe, so we are actually part of it. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could feel those connections? Not only to things in space, but with people and things on our planet.
My writing is based on these connections to everything, through space and time, touch and feel, emotions and facts. My goal is to learn, grow, and create, just as our universe does every day.
I love the picture on the first page.
