Currently, my mind is located in Kansas, but I love to explore whenever and however I can.
Whenever I have time, I love to weave, explore the universe (I’m a space geek), try new food and hobbies, and of course, travel to faraway destinations. The furthest I’ve been from home is Canada. I’d love to make it to Mars, but that’s a few years down the road. And of course, I’d love to go to the Orion Nebula to get a first hand view of all that “Star Stuff.”
My first career was that of an elementary school librarian who would do just about anything to get my students to use their imagination. Now, I encourage children to explore, learn, and grow in whatever arouses their curiosity through art, writing, music, new machines, etc. Once they’ve learned all they can, I encourage them to use their imagination and create from that knowledge.
Have I mentioned I READ! That is one of the best ways to explore our universe. You will always find me near a book, either a physical book or an e-book. They are something I can’t be without. Movies are another good source of traveling into unknown realms. I have my favorites. Most of them have to do with science fiction and fantasy, but a good comedy/romance makes me happy, also. At some point I will weave a nebula, a galaxy, a universe, but for the time being, nature is my inspiration.
My husband and I were married on St. Patrick’s Day. We have two daughters who we love to visit. Our cat is named Brie, because she’s pretty cheesy.
